Columbus Cello School, LLC Suzuki Talent Education

Recently name the Columbus Symphony Orchestra 2020-2021 Private and Community Educator of the Year, Miss Jill, as her students refer to her, is a fully certified Suzuki Cello Teacher with registrations in Book 1-10, ECC, and 15 years of experience.  She received her long term training with Carol Tarr at the University of Denver.  Miss Jill conducts weekly group classes, advanced cello choir, and maintains a studio of 20+ students on a regular basis, and the age range varies from 3 to 300 years old. Jill has been an active Institute Teacher and workshop clinician locally and nationally in Ohio, Maine, New Hampshire, Louisiana, Colorado and Kentucky.

Miss Jill believes in the Group Lesson experience and teaches her students knowing that they will actively and willingly partiipate in scheduled events.

Miss Jill's teaching style is all inclusive.  Her approach to cello and all students is to expose them to all aspects and genres; from solo and accompanying, to jazz and modern music, to reading, theory, and composition. She shares Dr Suzuki's philosophy that "Every Child Can."
